We spent the weekend at the Charlotte Pop Festival...which, strangely enough, was held at a club in downtown Charlotte. Charlotte is about a 2 and a half hour drive from beautiful downtown Bynum, or for you non-Southerners who don't measure distance in time, that is 141 miles. A lot of the usual suspects from Miguel's pop festival (Sparklefest) were there, so it was like a family reunion. Actually it was exactly like a family reunion because we also went to see Miguel's brother and sister-in-law. We took a short side trip to South Carolina because Miguel wanted to buy fireworks. The fireworks laws in SC are quite a bit more relaxed than in NC, so you can buy all kinds of explosives and WMDs that are illegal here. It's a good thing we've had so much rain, otherwise he might set the county on fire.
