Land Manatee, fat on her back

Her Christian name is Squeaky, but she goes by Kitty Girl or Fat Cat. Mike calls her the Obeester. She isn't really fat, she's fluffy. No seriously, she's an English Shorthair and they tend to be low and wide. She may have a glandular problem, but she has a great personality. And brother let me tell you...she can move when she has to. She's brought in squirrels, rabbits and birds to supplement her diet. I believe she could bring down a deer if she had to. She's our first cat (after Pooce, who ran away 10 minutes after we got her...the ingrate). We got her from Second Chance Adoptions. She may be chunky, but we love her.

You can't have enough friends

I had lunch yesterday with a couple of my coworkers...actually one coworker and one ex-coworker. It was really fun catching up with each other's lives since we don't see each other very often these days (thank God for email). I told them I would post this on my site. Or maybe I promised them I would NOT post this--I forget which. Anywho...here we go. Me and the girls, Bev and Connie.

Tripping down memory lane

Happy Birthday, Carol!! I'm a little late, but couldn't let the BIG one slide by without some recognition, even though Carol NEVER writes. This is from left to right, my brother Jon, Carol, me and my brother Taumi. This picture was taken in June, 1967, in front of the old house in NM. Carol, of course, hasn't changed a bit...altho she may be a little taller now. Hope your special day was wonderful. You deserve it! Love and Kisses from your "oldest" friend.

Back in the day

Just to give you some context--here's Mom and Dad in 1969 I think. This was taken in front of the Jones' house which was next door to us. Quite a lovely couple.
